Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: V2_2.2.6

I am trying to route udp multicast traffic from VLAN 20 to VLAN 1 and block all other traffics between them. Does this router supports inter VLAN multicast routing? If so how to do that.

Hi @Karuppusamy

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

How do you verify that it is not multicast across VLAN? IGMP Snooping enabled?

Steps to reproduce what you described here? Would appreciate it if you could provide screenshots of your steps and results.

Do you have a switch? As well as a diagram.

Hi @Clive_A,

I have IGMP Proxy enabled under LAN and selected WAN as IGMP interface. There is no way to select VLAN or LAN ports as IGMP interface in ER605.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create two VLAN's

2. Enable IGMP Proxy under LAN settings.

3. Connect IGMP Server on one VLAN and Client on another VLAN.

4. Multicast messages from VLAN 1 should be received by the client in VLAN 2. But it is not working, and we couldn't find any settings to enable the same.

The steps do not make sense to me. Like I asked earlier, I need to see how you verified it with the screenshots so you can show me the IP and stuff and it does not work.

An iteration of the symptom which I am aware of by your title does not make this further understood if I need to escalate this.

If you could provide the Wireshark along with the next reply, greatly appreciate it.
