Syslog for VPN connections
Hi everyone,
Got syslogs working on the router but wondering if it would be possbile to enable logging for VPN connection and disconnection something for successful and failed events.

Hi,
The only logs I saw so far, were for connecting/disconnecting IPsec/L2TP/PPTP Site 2 Site configuration as well as I saw some SSL VPN log configuration for that. Those were available in gerenal router's logs in Omada Controller but you have to have this enabled:
But as you said, I havent found any logs for Software Clients of OpenVPN for example. As I saw in Suggestions secion - this is planned to be implemented at some point within 5.15.X version of Omada Controller. You can find more here:

The only thing you could do to have a "live preview" of VPN utilization, it so add a widget on Dashboard with some connection info. But those are not really detailed (less than in Insight) and is based on live data only.

I run mine in standalone mode but this is good info. Lets hope they have some syslog updates soo and it would be good to enable TLS on Syslog as well.
