Model: EAP215-Bridge KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.4

I'm continuing to work on getting a EAP-215 kit to function as a bridge to my outbuilding.  I'm using the following equipment.

ER605 v2.0 (Main Building)

SG2016P v1.20 (Main Building)

EAP-670 Located in (Main Building)

EAP-215 Bridge Kit v1.0 (Bridge to outbuilding)

SG2210P v5.20 (Outbuilding)

EAP 610(US) v3.0 (Outbuilding)

The probelm that I seem to have is when I bring the second switch online I lose all internet access outside of LAN.  I tried configuring ports using rstp but couldn't manage to sort any of the issues out.  I have 3 IP cameras on the outbuilding that I intend to send video over the EAP-215.  Bringing the system back online requires me to forget all hardware, reset from a backup, then adopting all hardware again.

Surely this configuration must be feasable?

I think this is related to a known bug where the remote end of bridge doesnt stay that way consistently, depending on what is connected to its port. We have seen similar issues when meshable aps are connected to the remote side of the bridge.

Hi  @Throwzone

Does the issue persist?

It's probably that the wireless EAP and wired switch generated a loop.

Did you try disabling the Mesh function on this page?

it seems the outbuilding bridge switch port is being blocked.  Is there other documentation about this bug somewhere?  Any solutions?

  @Vincent-TP

the Eap-215 needs a mesh connection to form the bridge.  When I disconnect the mesh function the bridge connection drops.

Hi  @Throwzone

You may also try this option:

Go to Ports > Edit > Enable Profile Overrides > Operation > Switching > Loopback Control, and choose Loopback Detection Port Based, click Apply.

I engaged loop back detection port based a day ago. The random blocking of that port persists. Appears to be on a once a day basis.

I have enabled LLDP, which fixed the topographical mapping of the network.  I'm curious to see if this also changes how the switches behave in relation to the connection via wireless bridge.
