Hi guys,

I know nothing about internet - absolutely nothing so I'm sure this should be easy to fix smiley

My understanding is that I have my router (/modem, it's called here) that connects to the 'outside' internet. I need to make the router-name and login, and AP 1 (bedrooms) and AP 2 (attic) names and logins the same, so it creates one network (instead having to reconnect each time I go up a floor), which I can do by logging onto the router (done*), and AP 1 and AP 2, which is where I run into problems.

I'm trying to login on the first AP via http://tplinkap.net/. I have been able to connect to that AP as an open network, both with cable and with wifi, but when I use either the http://tplinkap.net/-link OR the IP address (cmd, ipconfig), I can't continue. Whatever options are given on the http://tplinkap.net/ do not apply to my situation, and I have rebooted the AP several times. The login to ip address directly just gives me "This site can’t be reached". Even though I was connected to the AP.

What do I do? None of the manuals treat this problem and I can't seem to find any support on this specific problem.

Thanks!

*done meaning, I've logged on via IP address, changed the name and password to what I want it to be for the APs also

The way you set the SSIDs and wireless passwords the same as in your router depends on how you're using your EAPs - as a standalone APs or controller managed.

If you use them as a standalone APs - here's how to login their web management interface.

Here's more detailed guide on EAPs connecting to your network and their configuration.
