Model: TL-SG3452P
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

We recently put this PoE switch into use, TL-SG3452P.

I am not a networking person but thought I had this right, I was trying to separate ports 45, 46, 47, and 48 on a separate VLAN. My intension is to use those 4 ports effectively as a separate switch, but physically part of the main switch. In trying to get this going I setup a VLAN through the web interface on ports 45,46,47,48 as VLAN 3 (VOIP is VLAN 2). Three of those 4 ports are for Access Points, and the 4th is for the port on the firewall for WLAN. The 4 ports were set to untagged, and I removed those 4 ports from the primary VLAN 1. But the Access points weren't talking to the system.

I took another TP-Link PoE 18 port switch that I had on hand and plugged those four ethernet cables for the firewall WLAN port and the three access points and it all works fine, no problem.

Any ideas on how I can make it work using those ports 45-48 on my main switch and not have to use two switches?

Thanks!

haha I got it working! I missed setting the PVID, the VLAN number on the Port Configuration page.
