Firmware Version: 1.1.0

Hi

 

I was wondering if anyone might know what is happening with my setup.

 

It has been stable on v1.0.3 with no problems but since updating the ER8411 to v1.1.0 it keeps disconnecting from the Controller.

 

Hardware

 

  • OC200 Controller, v1.0, v5.9.32 Controller Version, v1.24.0 Firmware
  • ER8411 Router, v1.0, v1.0.3 Ok, v1.1.0 Not Ok.
  • TL-SX3206HPP, v1.0, v1.0.4
  • TL-SX3008F, v1.0, v1.0.5
  • EAP670, v1.0, v1.0.6

 

On reboot, it connects, configures then disconnects.

 

The process to do the update I followed was:

  • Forget Device in Controller
  • Reset to factory
  • Update firmware in standalone mode
  • Reset to factory again
  • Set IP Address to originally used IP address (192.168.11.1)
  • Appears in Controller again
  • Adopt Device
  • Input User/Password when required
  • Then it Connects, Configures then Disconnects.

 

I cannot ping the ER8411 nor get to it's webpage.

 

If I downgrade the ER8411 back to v1.0.3 by the same process, it works fine again.

 

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, this sounds to be a problem with your config. Are you setting the Controller and the router into different subnets? If yes, the simple discovery would not work because this only works in the same subnet. How to manage Omada devices at different sites across Internet using Omada Controller

How to manage EAPs in different subnets using Omada controller (via EAP Discovery Utility) (New UI)

You have to use the Discovery Utility/DHCP Option 138/Inform URL to make it work in different subnets.

I was thinking it may be something wrong in my config.

Although all the hardware was all in the same subnet and on static IP's.

 

It is all running stably now.

Similar issue im trying to work with support with to fix. Are you using any sfp+ to ethernet or dac cables? If so try without see if issue disappears. It does for me but that is not addequate as my main wan is 8gig fibre and i need the 10gig link as well to my sswitches. My er8411 bootloops with 1.1.0 and the 1.04 beta. It will turn on aadopt, configure, disconnect reboot.
