SFP+ issues linking to SFP device

Hi I am trying to connection a fibre across to an older set of switches [Dell &HP] that run SFP 1G and looking for any ideas on the SFP to use in the TP-link. Equipment is already 850nm on other devices. I have seen other posts advising that the SFP+ port can run at slower speeds but not sure if this requires a SFP at 1G at each end or a SFP+ in the tp-links that can select slower speeds. Any recommendations on the SFP or SFP+ appreciated. I have tried an
| Intel E1/10GSFPSR Compatible Dual-Rate 1000BASE-SX and 10GBASE-SR SFP+ 850nm 300m DOM Duplex LC MMF Optical Transceiver Module in TP-link but does not seem to want to connect. Similarly a pair of SFP's that work between the current switches.
Any advice appreciated or advice if it is this configuration that is not possible. Thanks |
