Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1

As many ask for vpn with different providers, this would be how you can setup omada router as client to TorGuard's VPN server, this guide covers just the setup of VPN connection over L2TP (unencrypted) and encrypted with IPsec. In screenshots below 10Gbit server from Quadranet is used as remote server. If you have questions or something is not working, best to direct your requests to torguard support and tp-link support.

Hardware used for the guide at the time of creation is: er605 v1 (firmware v1.2.1) with controller version v5.4.6 on linux.

If you are looking for other guides for TorGuard:

  @btx

do you know if TorGuard has actually VPN endpoints in different regions of the world? Is there a list/overview of IP-addresses of those endpoints?

ok thats a nice ad, but how do I actually get those IPs? On the website I can only see the use of the app, there is no FAQ or so which could tell me how to find the actual IP of any server ?

Hi,

thank you very much for yout guide. This was very helpful.

What I expected was that all the traffic from the router will be tunneled through the TorGuard Servers. But when I check my IP Address via the TorGuard site I see the IP of my ISP and that I'm unprotected.

Router: ER605 v1 (Firmware: 1.2.1)

Controller Version: 5.5.6

Did I something wrong? Or did I expect something wrong? What do I need to do that my router is 24/7 connected to Torguard so all traffic will be routed through TG Servers from every device in my local network.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards

Tim

  @btx

That thread is really helping. :)

Ive setup a connection to a VPN server, but currently Im asking myself, is IPv6 affected by policy routing anyhow? So in order to get all desired traffic to VPN i need to disable IPv6 ?
