Firmware Version:

Hi @Fae

Please help us @jeanrouge  with the following issue.

[Network layout]

[Issue Description]

When The EAP256HD was first set it up, it worked perfectly but now, when standing around EAP265HD, the wireless signal is about 1-2 bars and the best speed It could be provided is about 40-45m/s. While, if standing next to Deco M5, the signal is full 5 bars and the speed is about 80m/s.

[Other Details]

1. Deco and EAP265HD are set to Access point mode with the same SSID and password as the wifi of the ISP router.

2. The Omada EAP is installed at the end of an 8m corridor - ceiling mounted and powered via Ethernet.

3. The walls are brick and mortar.

4. Now on the EAP265HD, Channel Width is set to 20mhz, Channel is left at "Auto" and Tx Power is changed to 19

For other details you might need, please refer to this link: https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/545604

Thanks and best regards.

1. First make sure the installation is done correctly, the EAP265 has a better front panel signal, avoid obstacles when installing.
2. Is the specific 2.4G or 5G signal weak?
3. You may try to change different channel and change the channel width to the larger one to test.

4. We also suggest you may change TX power to high to test.

5. And check whether the firmware version is the latest one, if no, update to the latest firmware version and test again.

Best Regards!
