Model: EAP265 HD
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20200619 Rel. 58617

Hello,

EAP265HD access point is advertised as having MU-MIMO capabilities but I have not found where to turn this feature on or off in the settings. Is this something that is not available yet? What settings need to be configured to take full advantage of MU-MIMO technology on the EAP265HD access point?

@Saul_ib

There is no any settings to disable, just a standard for wave2 as I know. In short this is always ON :)

@Saul_ib,

Yup, always on for all Wave2 EAP's -- EAP225V3, EAP245V3, presumably the EAP265V1 and EAP225-ODV1.

I do see higher per client throughputs with my EAP245V3 even with just 2x2 clients (versus the EAP225V3).  Given the same client load (approx 25-30 STA's per AP), I'd have to assume the MU-MIMO is helping.

MU-MIMO is one (of several) new Wifi5 Wave1/2 features that theoretically should work, but in practice their impact/performance varies widely depending on the MFG of the AP and STA (and their interactions).
