Hi guys....hope you are all well.....!

I am having an issue and I hope I can get some help or advice from you.

I have a TP LINK R480T+ and I am using 2 WAN ports with 2 different carriers. 1 is the local TELCO and the other is a CABLE Co.

Now this is the scenario:

The R480T+ has an IP address of : 192.168.1.10

The ADSL Modem DLINK 520B WAN2 has an IP address of: 192.168.1.9

The CABLE modem NETGEAR CM500 WAN1 has a FACTORY DEFAULT  (Cannot be changed) IP address of: 192.168.100.1

Now....from time to time I need to access these modems to do administrative/maintenance tasks and I am NOT able to access them through their WEB interfaces when connected to the WAN ports. I have to DISCONNECT them phisically from the WAN port and connect my computer staright into the LAN port of the modem in order to gain access to the modem, and do whatever is it that I am supposed to do ......which is not the ideal.....!

I have on my home network a couple of REPEATERS and SWICTHES and I do NOT have a problem in accessing them when I nned to do so, thru their web interfaces.

Can anyone shed some light as to how I can access these modems thru their WEB Interfaces WITHOUT having to DISCONNECT them Phisically from the WAN ports.......???

Thanks in advance for your Light....!

@Raldy

What do you mean "NOT able to access them through their WEB interfaces when connected to the WAN ports"? Whose WAN ports?
What's your network map when you try this? And how many LAN ports on both modems? Is it possible to connect to another LAN port of the modem?

PS: I found your ADSL modem's IP is in the same subnet as R480T+. Is this a mistake of typing? Usually they should be in different subnets, otherwise the internet won't work.

@Somnus

These modems can be configured..... so in order to do that, you access them thru their web interface.

So if I connect my computer into the modems LAN port and type for example 192.168.1.9 on the browser, I am greeted with a login screen and then I can access the modem for it to be configured.

When the modems are connected to the R480T+ WAN ports, I am NOT able to access the modems for them to be configured. I have to be doing what the image above depicts.

If you notice...the NETGEAR CM500 has an IP of 192.168.100.1 and is connected to WAN1 and I am still not able to access it although it is on a different subnet.

Dont know if I am explaining myself the correct way.

Thanks Bud.

Somnus....let me show you a BETTER map of my network.

From my computer (192.168.1.132) I am ABLE to access: The Switch (192.168.1.40) and ALL 3 Wireless devices and The R480T+, without a problem and configure them

FROM the computer (192.168.1.132). I am also ABLE to surf the internet through ANY of the WAN connections with the existing IP schemes the modems have.

However I AM NOT ABLE to access either modem (192.168.1.9) or (192.168.100.1) from my computer (192.168.1.132) UNLESS I do the below:

I do hope I was able to explain the situation much better.!

Thanks in advance.

Hey Bud....I have gone ahead and changed the IP for DLINK 520B WAN2 from 192.168.1.9 TO 192.168.100.2 and still I am NOT able to access either modem from the computer 192.168.1.132.

Any suggestions.....???

Do not set WAN1 and WAN2 in the same subnet. Try to give it an IP like 192.168.2.1?
