Working with a small non-profit to setup a wifi network using Omada hardware.

Been looking at switches and noticed the SG3428 v1 first firmware is end of 2020, and there is already a v2 with first firmware version Feb 2021, and of course finding any vendor that will list hardware version is near impossible.

It does scare me a little bit that a product is released and under 6 months later a v2 is released. I get some feeling of an engineer going "uh oh we better fix this" and then wondering what's going to happen if I buy a v1. Granted they are cheap. But then again buying something that works I could spend 2x as much if I'm budgeting for "oh, I may need to replace these things in 3 months"

Don't have a list but think I saw one or two others like this as well. It makes me scared to get a v1.
