TL-SG3428 V2 ACL don’t work with official FW
Hello,
i have spend more than 8 hour to figure out that the ACL with different VLAN and Networks don't works.
I have found this BETA Firmware from 2021
TL-SG3428_v2_2.0.3_Build 20210825(Beta)
with this firmware the ACL works.
My Question is when would you release a new Firmware for this switch?
For new users this is not acceptable to download a non working official firmware.
Please update the official fw which works also with omada
thanks

Hi there,
The new firmware TL-SG3428(UN)_V2_2.0.7 Build 20220606 released recently has fixed the ACL-related issue.
If you find that Combined ACL failed to block traffic between Layer 3 networks, please check for a firmware update first.
Thank you for your attention!

Sorry for any trouble caused! I haven't been informed of the ETA of the new firmware for this switch yet, will try to push the R&D team to release the firmware shortly. If you need any further assistance with the TP-Link products, please feel free to start a thread on the community or submit a ticket email to our technical support team from here.

Hello,
Thank you for Support.
Because i almost looking for new Firmware updates only on the Product Support site
https://www.tp-link.com/de/support/download/tl-sg3428/#Firmware
https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/tl-sg3428/v2/#Firmware
I can't see the new Firmware file on the Product Support site.
Or is there any other place where i can look for Firmware?
For example i have bought for few day a TL-SG105E with the
FW 1.0.0 Build 20211209 Rel. 52640 which i don't find on the Support page because i want to have the file for backup.
Now a have updated with the FW 1.0.0 Build 20220930 Rel.36078.
Please don't get me wrong, just how are new customers supposed to find out about this new firmware?
Not everyone registers in the forum and actively searches for solutions.
I don't want to know how many firmware's here in the forum would have solved many customer problems if they knew they existed?
The result is not good for you if the customers send the hardware back after testing.
Many greetings

Hello,
i would inform you of following difference between the FW i have notice
With the FW TL-SG3428v2_UN_2.0.3_20210825(Beta) the ACL works with S/D-IP 0.0.0.0
With the FW TL-SG3428(UN)_v2_2.0.7_20220606 the ACL works without IP Range
I have seen in the Manual this
--> This means when i have a ACL rule list like above, i have to put a rule which permit all other traffic otherwise it will be implicit denied.
