Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 4.6

Hello Everyone! ...

I have a Synology NAS (DS1520+) and am doing ling aggregation using 802.3ad, so four of my 1GB ports are now bonded together.

I purchased the TL-SG108E and am having a hard time configuring it, even though I gave it a static IP address, it cannot be accessed from the internet.

Then it connects DHCP IP 198.162.1.205 and locates it and also has the static IP address I gave it  - either way, I finally got it.

*** WHEW ***

The question, DOES THE TL-SG108E support 802.3ad and can create the link aggregation the Synology NAS needs to bond all 4 1GB ports together?

Has someone done this before?

Thanks, everyone in adbamce!

Christopher

Dear @QHIINC,

DOES THE TL-SG108E support 802.3ad and can create the link aggregation the Synology NAS needs to bond all 4 1GB ports together?

The TL-SG108E is an Easy Smart Switch which only supports Static LAG, you may refer to Page 28 from the UG below to configure it.

https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202009/20200927/1910012769_Easy%20Smart%20Switch_UG.pdf

Kind Note:

1. To get it to work, please make sure the NAS supports Static LAG as well.

2. Generally speaking, NAS only supports LACP but doesn't support Static LAG, you could confirm this with the support of your NAS.

3. Here is the configuration guide of LAG for your reference, from where you can get the switch models that support LACP.
