I have also a T1600G-28PS V3 (TL-SG2424P) Switch in use and it would be awesome to make this switch compatible with Omada SDN.

I think part of the confusion and the hope of Omada SDN support for older models boils down to unclear communication. Also people are enthustiactic and generally cant wait to get their hands on new tech

The very two models you mention as not supported (the T1500G-10MPS and the TL-ER6120) is actually shown as adopted on page 8 and in other places as well.

So for the many of us sitting ready to buy new switches and routers it would be amazing to get a clear answer on what current or older models will eventually be supported - if any.

Also I think giving us a hint on the ETA of the new models that will supported other than "coming soon" would be greatly appreciated. Are we talking 2 weeks, 2 months or something else?

@Henrik_TP  Hey this was the exact question I had when making this post and even though its marked as solved I'm not very clear on the answer. @Fae made a post that says only the 3 models listed as officially supported will be usable and the T1500G-10MPS will not which is why I went and returned the one I bought. Now I'm confused because there are multiple places that show it is possible to adopt these switches and use them, but I assume they made a business decision since the T1500G-10MPs and the new TL-SG2210MP have an essentially identical feature set and they want you to buy the new one.

All upgraded. 

Still getting used to the new interface.  Looks great for small businesses with switches and gateways -- obviously the target audience.  Maybe not as great for home users with only a few EAP's.  Lots of "clutter" for stuff and features I don't have / can't use.  (-:

I wish the firmware upgrade process was a little more "coordinated."  Having to know to manually download the new firmware ahead of time, and then install it, after adopting, post OC-200 upgrade, is not the most "seemless" approach.  But I muddled my way thought (-:

Not sure why some settings like:

Fast Roaming

Band Steering

Are hidden in the advanced settings.

Cannot wait for AI driven channel and power selection capabilities.

While there are lots of new stats which is great.  I cannot find client RSSI anymore.  Nor is it easy/possible to look at all of your wireless traffic at once.  Looking at each AP is okay, but i would be good to get an overall view.  There is one (if you swipe/scroll all the way to the bottom of the Dashboard), but it seems "less useful" than the old one.

I really like the topology view.  It would nice if we could add "unsupported / dumb" network devices for documentation and basic connectivity monitoring capability.

For example -- under devices:

Let me add the IP address of my existing (non-TP-Link) router.  Let me add information about the DL & UL speeds of my broadband.  Let me configure tests and notifications on a schedule to ping, DNS, NTO, speed test, etc.  the connection and notify if something is amiss.

I am hoping to change out my dumb netgear switch for a new TP-Link one at some point -- so at least I can capture all of my MOCA & Ethernet connected traffic. 

I Thoight about the gateway, too, but I use some of the parental control features of my current router from FIOS.  I guess I could throttle his connections.  Still would be nice to group clients into groups and turn their connection one and off at the flip of a switch -- like I do now on my Verizon router.
