Model: CPE510
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have had nothing but issues with this setup

was hoping someone could help

it’s gotta be something I’m doing wrong

I have as follows

1. Internet (head-end) with a

CPE-510 plugged into router and mounted on the side of the home (set up as an access point)

2. At this same location I have a EAP-225 installed for Wi-Fi coverage on that side of the home (set up as AP)

3. About 100ft away, in line of site

another CPE-510 (set up as a Client)

4. At #3 same location I have another EAP-225 set up as AP for Wi-Fi coverage in that area

5. At #3 same location I have another CPE-510 (set up as an Access point)

note: all three of these devices are plugged into a 5port ethernet gigabyte switch ..

6. About 200ft away in line of site I have another CPE-510 (set up as a client)

7. At #6 same location I have another EAP-225 (set up as an AP) for Wi-Fi coverage in this area

note: at this location I have an 8 port gigabyte switch with both of those devices plugged in as well as 2 DVR’s that are networked for remote viewing

8. Also plugged into that switch in another CPE-510 setup and an AP

shooting about 60ft to

9. Another CPE-510 set up as a client and plugged into a switch where I have a laptop and a Sonos play 5 plugged into it as well

nothing ever seems to work properly

maybe i over installed

maybe not setup properly

please, if anyone else works with these products let me know

I will be happy to pay u for ur time

as you most likely know , tech support is not really an option so I’m hoping to get help here

thank you in advance

We use CPE510 and EAP225 exactly this way (CPE links to inter-connect several remote sites in one big network, EAP225 APs to distribute the WLAN locally at those sites).

So what is your question exactly? What is your exact setup of the CPEs? What is your network topology?

I’m not sure if the programming is 100% correct

the set up

the placement of each

Is very simple really

i have direct line of site the whole way

also

is there a way I can program each radio to be logged into wirelessly at all times if needed

seems like the clients never come up on Wi-Fi network to log in to them

but the AP’s do obviously

i just don’t feel i should have any issues with this set up but

I’ll get it all working for the most part

And then a day or two later

things just stop working

Not sure what you mean. Just use this network topology to connect remote WiFi cells to a local router (here a WBS and CPE, you can also use two CPEs):

@R1D2

I am working on this topology and I have a question. I am using two CPE-510s along with EAP-110 (not EAP-225).

My goal is as follow:

- At location A, CPE-510 connects to a server.

- At location B, CPE-510 connects to EAP-110.

- Clients at location B needs to access to the server at location A via WiFi from EAP-110.

How to configure both CPEs and EAP on this topology?

At this point, I configure CPE at location A as AP mode, location B as Client mode. But I am stuck with EAP-110. Any suggestion?

The EAP is a wireless access point, you just need to hardwire it to the CPE510 and secure the WiFi as you like.

Refer to this Setup Video or this FAQ to setup the EAP110.
