I am having a problem with PPTP vpn on a TL-R600VPN v2. I have 11 users who connect each morning and stay connected during normal business hours. When they come in the next morning they can't connect. If I restart the router it lets them in for the day and they seem to stay connected until the next morning. Right now, I have to reboot the router every morning before they get to work to make sure they can connect. Also I was watching the PPTP status page this morning when I noticed something odd. When everyone logged on there were 4 users who had just connected ( I watched live as they logged on) and their online time showed up as 1664 days! Here is a screenshot:

You can see the other users show the correct time but I don't understand why the crazy time with those others. The time thing really isn't the main problem though. I just wanted to mention it in case it was related to the reboot problem I'm having.

I read on some other threads that there are firmware updates too. I have updated to the latest v2 firmware but I read that some people were saying to update using the v3 firmware. Is that safe? Will it mess up the router or wipe the configuration? What should I do to fix this problem?
