Firmware V1 applies to HW version V2, too. To be sure it installs on your EU hardware, download it from your local site, not the US site. For example, the EU version for HW V2 is available here (applies to most countries in the EU, except UK): https://www.tp-link.com/de/download/EAP115_V2.html

I am the proud owner of a pair of EAP115 V2 . Last update of the firmware I performed with software downloaded from https://www.tp-link.com/us/download/EAP115_V2.html#Firmware, EAP115(US)_V2_171011 .
The downloaded file EAP115(EU&US)_v2_171011.zip contained the following:

The actual binary filename showed to be for V2 hardware.

Today I downloaded, again from https://www.tp-link.com/us/download/EAP115_V2.html#Firmware, EAP115(US)_(V2)_2.1.0 Build 20180418 .
The file format changed, I got delivered EAP115(US)_2.1.0 Build 20180418.rar containing the following:

18-05-2016 14:58 246.985 How to upgrade the firmware of EAP products.pdf
18-04-2018 20:45 6.943.973 TL-EAP115v1_2.1.0_[20180418-rel74719]_up_signed.bin

The filename indicated hardware version V1. This looks like a packaging error to me. Downloading for V1 and V2 provide the above RAR file, downloading for V4 gets a ZIP file with a binary file for V3 hardware.
How do I get hold of TL-EAP115v2_2.1.0_[20180418-rel74719]_up_signed.bin ?

Hi,

EAP115v1 and EAP115v2 just make a difference in web UI, they have same hardware feature. So EAP115v1 and EAP115v2 just use same firmware. Don't worry about it.
