Model : WBS210

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version : 1.3.3 Build 20151215 Rel. 5855

ISP :

Hi all, I am trying to make a point-to-point link between a WBS210 that uses an ant2412d antenna and a cpe210, the link distance is 700 meters long and there would be line of vision between the devices if not for the 3 or 4 trees that are between houses, .I connected the ant2412d antenna to the WBS210 with a pigtail cable 50 centimeters long.
I have configured the WBS210 as Access Point, I have set the distance in 0.8 km
The CPE210 is configured as a Client and when doing the quick setup i'm able to see and select the connection with the WBS210 but the signal / noise is around the -91 / -105 dBm.
At the end of the configuration, I did not obtain values in the section of Wireless Signal Quality.

I have read that I must update the firmware, there is some recommendable versions? (this will be my next step)
I have not tried setting the gain of the antenna on the wbs210 configuration, is this necessary?
Do you think that is possible to make this link work using that single antenna? Will help use another omni antenna? Should I buy the Ant2415ms? (I think that this was my frist error)

If I can get the link work, I will put another CPE210 located 200 meters behind the first, that will be connected to the wbs

Thank you very much for the help and suggestions you can bring.
Regards

Short answer: no, not on such distances.

Should I buy the Ant2415ms? (I think that this was my frist error)

Yes, a TL-ANT2415MS would be the correct antenna to get better signal quality on 700 meters and it will enable MIMO mode. However, the cheapest solution would be two use two CPEs for a directional link. If you want to feed several CPEs, the WBS210 with ANT2415MS is the right choice.

But WBS510 with TL-ANT5819MS and CPE510s (5 GHz) would probably give better throughput in dense areas. Anyway, make sure you have free line of sight between any two devices in the directional radio link and pay attention to the antenna beamwidths of ANT2415MS and those of the CPEs..
