Hi,

I can no longer connect to my VPN. It was fine yesterday. I have rebooted the router and tested the connection on two different devices. I set up a new PPTP VPN an it has the same problem. I sniffed some frames and saw that my PC is contacting the router and some communication is happening, but the VPN connection is not being made. On the PC I get a long wait at the "verifying your log on data" then I get "A connection to the remote computer could not be established, so the port used for this connection was closed" On my phone I get error 807.

What can I try?

I have deleted the VPN and recreated it. It still doesn't let me connect. It's as though I was using the wrong password.
Looks like I might have to reset the device.

May I know what kind of PPTP VPN do you use and the topology of your network?
