Hi, We have in place at a customers site a TP-Link R600vpn router. The reason we chose this router was for its ability to have VPN. After three weeks of being installed withing our customers network it has stopped allowing VPN. It will not allow to be accessed remotely via the web interface and no matter how I set up the VPN connection client side I just cant get it to connect when a week ago it connected without a hitch with no changes made what so ever.
Can somebody help explain this to me as it makes no sense. We have the same routers installed inside other customers networks and the VPN connection capability is completely fine for those. Is this problem something I can expect at all my customers with this router?
Please could somebody assist me with this?

Yes Ok as expected... One of the others we placed in another customers has also started failing VPN wise for no reason. all other aspects of the router seem to be functional but the VPN functionality is a needed function within these business's. Do TPLINK even look at these forums?

Ok so one thing I can gather is that TP link routers are substandard devices that fail in their functions. Another thing I can gather is that TP Link dont care and I am guessing with their unwillingness to help or even to acknowlegde problems that people encounter with their devices that they are also aware of this fact.

Similar problem here. After 3-4 days pptp stop working. A reboot of the router can fix the problem for other 2-3 days.

I have the same problem with the TL-R600VPN. PPTP VPN lasts for a few hours while I am connected and then it stops working. This is only fixed once the box is reset or PPTP is disabled and re-enabled. I am using the latest firmware; seeing as this problem exists not just on my device, I am confident that this is some sort of firmware issue.
Fortunately for me, I test devices for at least 3 months before I recommend them to clients. If this isn't resolved within the next 2 weeks, I will need to return all of the units I have purchased for a full refund as they're pretty useless without the VPN function. Sorry if that sounds harsh but I do not recommend or sell faulty devices to clients. If I am to recommend TP-Link, I need to know that this issue is resolved quickly.

same bug here. Adding new VPN users doesnt help.

Just joined to report the same problem happening on my R600VPN as well. It's been rock solid for a few months, but the past few weeks the VPN functions quit until I reboot or disable/re-enable service.
