EAP Controller & SNMP
2015-08-19 18:05:20
Tags:
Model : EAP120
Hardware Version : ?
Firmware Version : 2.0.1 Build 20150709 Rel. 75591
I am trying to configure SNMP on three EAP120s and I cannot see anywhere in the EAP Controller software to do this.
Do I have to drop the EAP120s from the Controller Software to make these config changes?
Thanks, Steve

Although I don't use SNMP I reckon when you need to configure SNMP you can just exit the controller temporarily. It won't hurt anything.

Well, I have answered your another thread.
http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?81946-MIB-for-EAP220
The controller doesn't integrate SNMP function. It uses a private protocol to communicate with the EAPs.
But you can configure SNMP through Web UI. Note that you need to shutdown the controller first (or unplug the cable on the PC) in order to access the EAP through Web UI.

Thanks for your replies.
Yes, I worked that out too.
Quitting the EAP Controller software realises the "lock" on the device management page, and then each unit can be configured manually.
