I'm trying to troubleshoot my Tapo C210 v2.6 (US) camera, and was wondering if could get some help. I recently purchased said camera, and out of the box it came with what seemed like a mechanical issue, but I'm almost positive it's due to bad firmware: on initial setup, it starts to do the initial calibration, but stops halfway through the base motor rotation and restarts, over and over. I've tried to find the latest firmware online to rule it out, with no luck. Any guidance will be immensely appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Please help confirm the following information for further analysis.
  1. What's the LED status on the camera when the issue happens?


  2. Have you powered on the camera with the original power adapter? If there is an SD card inserted into the camera, remove it for a try.


  3. Could you please send me a video showing the reported issue? You can upload the video to your cloud server(such as Google Drive), generate a link to download it, and send me(@Solla-topee) the link via a private message.

1. The LED flashes red, then solid red, then red and green. After it starts the motor calibration it stops and the LED sequence restarts.

 

2. Yes, I'm using the original adapter and no SD card. I just bought the camera. It's having issues right out of the box.

 

3. I've shared a video showing the issue via private message.

It seems your Tapo C210 has an issue, we suggest contacting your retailer or our local team to check if the camera is under warranty.
