Hi, I purchased the Tapo C425 camera 2 days ago and have had nothing but problems since. Yesterday I purchased a tp-link WiFi extender and it has helped a bit but still not good enough. When I go on the app it says it's offline then when it goes online it might refresh and work or keep refreshing and not working. It's very frustrating as I work away quite a bit so I need this to be working all the time. I've looked at other threads about this and it seems loads of people are having the same issue. I've tried everything and it still only works when it wants to. You cannot depend on it. Does anyone know will a new update be out soon to fix this? If not I'll have to return and try a different brand camera my friend has that is much more reliable

I have this camera with same firmware version, hardware version 1.20, but don't have any connectivity issues. To troubleshoot, I suggest you move the camera and your mobile phone next to the wifi source it is configured (make sure the camera is actually configured for the extender or the main router ssid) and check in a couple hours if the connectivity issue is gone. If the issue is gone it can be either your camera is too far from the wifi signal range or your mobile phone can also be having connectivity issues.

Does camera's status led show any changes when the problem occurs? Check whether you can view the camera smoothly when the phone connects to the local wifi network. To avoid network switching or interference, during the tests, disable cellular data, turn off VPN, ad-blocker apps or other related apps if any.

  @Wayne-TP Since I posted this thread it was working perfectly had no problem then this morning it won't connect to it again. I'll be giving it another week to see how it is and if it's the same it'll be returned. Very frustrating.
