WPA2 encryption downgrades

My Wi-fi is starting to downgrade from WPA2 AES to non-encrypted randomly. I noticed this while streaming online video services. I've had this VPN router for ~3 months, and was wondering if this a software issue, or early sign of hardware failure. Wi-Fi will return to WPA2 after reset, but am concerned about members reconnecting to Wi-Fi without encryption enabled. Has anyone else had this issue with the WiFi downgrade during use?
