Hello

I have an EAP100 that has been working via a POE hardwire connection to my Vodaphone router for several years.

This morning I changed to a SKY router, and everything else is working fine.

However, when I try to connect to the TPLink _2.4GHz_5F1D9F WiFi, it just hangs at "obtaining IP address", then disconnects.

Any suggestion how to resolve this?

Thanks

Tim

@WhiteLion58 Thanks very much for your reply. I had the same suspicion, so went back over the connections to the new router. Sure enough, one of the four network cables had not quite clicked home. Gave it a push and a click, and the access point is working again. Always check the obvious, I guess :-)

Hi @WhiteLion58,

It sounds like a network and/or DHCP issue.  Here's some basic troubleshooting steps you can try...

  • Verify EAP is physically connected to the new router
  • Verify EAP is pingable from new router
  • Verify DHCP service is working on new router
  • Test if you can connect to the wifi using static network settings
