Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.34.2

Hello, Good day.

Should it be possible to set up the management on VLAN20, or is it strictly required to use VLAN1 for management?

I made small home lab, where I tried it.

devices:
- Omada Controller, OC200 v1.0, fw. 1.34.2
- Omada AP, EAP115 v 4.0, fw. 5.09
- Cisco switch, WS-C2960G

solution "A"  - management is on VLAN1
                       -  it is working well

solution "B"  - management on VLAN20 (requested solution)
                        - Omada Controller can't find the AP.

Hi  @Petrmann

Yes, you can do this and below is a config guide:

How to configure Management VLAN in Omada SDN Controller (4.4.4 or above)

You may refer to Topology 2: Network with a Non-Omada Managed Router as the Gateway

  @Petrmann

Hi Petrmann,

yes, you can do it. I have them on VLAN99, for example.

The problem I see is that you don't have an Omada Switch, so the controller is pretty useful, IMHO, and you have to configure everything in standalone mode...

But, yes, you can do it.

Thank you,

Fra
