Patrol, park to preset not working correctly
Hello Vigi experts,
I would my camera to work in the following fashion : Park at a preset for 5 minutes, after which it goes into patrol mode going thru a series of 4 presets of 1 minute each. After patrol, it should return to park mode and the cycle repeats.
I have setup patrol mode and set park to return to a specific preset. Saved the sertings and even did a reboot. However, it seems like the patrol mode keeps looping without ever activating park mode.
How should I set it up so that it performs as what's is described above? Is there a bug in the firmware? Does anyone else have the same issue with this model? Is there a guide on how I should set this up?
Thank you.
Alan

@alantch I tested the Patrol mode again today and I can confirm that park set to a preset is NOT working.
This is how I tested with the 3 presets I have:
- patrol mode consists of preset1 and preset2, each set to 1 minute (for a total of 2 mins)
- park mode is set to ON, with time set to 5 min and park method is set to preset3
The camera will loop endlessly in the presets defined in patrol (presets 1 and 2) never goes into park mode at preset3.
Is there a bug in the patrol module? Can TP-Link confirm please?
Thanks,
Alan

Screenshot of your config?
In the previous test I've done, patrol mode works okay with the preset I set for it.
When you set the patrol mode, it will apply the preset you listed. Park mode should not be part of it. Patrol is patrol.

@alantch Hi Clive_A, thanks for your response. Yes indeed if I turn on Patrol mode, it will go through each of the presets accordingly but it just keeps on looping. I would like the camera to go into Park mode at a particular preset for 12 minutes before repeating the patrol. Are you saying this can't be done?
In any case, below are the screenshots of my settings.
Android app version is 2.6.35 and IOS app version is 2.6.26. Both apps are not able to do what I want. I tried using VSM (v1.7.2) by deleting all presets and creating all anew and it is no different.
Thanks.

Patrol is patrol. Park is park. They are not the same function.
Patrol mode will just scan the preset position you have set. It does not sit for minutes.

@Clive_A Thanks for your reply. I would have thought this is a basic function for this range of cameras. So Park and Patrol functions are mutually exclusive - only one can be active at any time and they cannot work together. Can you please confirm?
Thanks,
Alan
