Dear team,

since 2 days I own a camera model VIGI C340-W(UN), name VIGI C340-W 2.20, firmware 2.0.3 Build 240914 Rel.62726n.

I'd like to mention some aspects being very disappointing.

1. Though platform access and cloud service is disabled, the cam cyclically executes DNS-requests for www.tp-link.com, www.bing.com and www.amazon.com. As the cam is meant to operate only in the local network, these or other requests for external servers are not neccessary and really unwanted as they cause useless traffic. Please provide a solution to suppress such requests.

2. As mentioned in other threads (e.g. https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/674450), the cam doesn't allow uploading videos to a FTP-share. If I'd known that issue, I'd never bought this cam. But even worse - FTP-upload doesn't work for pictures here. Configured correctly for the FTP-share, the cam creates directories though creating a test file via GUI fails with "write error". The GUI doesn't provide "Upload Capture" as shown in thread https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/659388. Please provide a solution to upload videos and pictures to an FTP-share.

3. There seems to be no way to access files stored in the sd-card via GUI oder http (see also https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/635240). Another reason for not buying this cam if I knewed before. Please provide a solution to access files stored in the sd-card.

A product sold in year 2025 should not show those shortcomings. Access via app or using a NVR won't be appropriate. My other cameras (approximately 5 years old) allow access to the sd-card and FTP-upload worked out of the box.
