Hi all,

I have got a new ER7212PC set up and access points connected but my ISP requires vlan tagging for the Internet to work and requests 4094 1Q tagging

Spitfire fibre with a fixed IP and subnet of 255.255.255.254 has been given to me, but the box to select vlan 4094 in advanced settings has a requisite of 0-4086 only, so 4094 is not possible?

Hi @PhilCISource

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

We support 1-4094 but the system uses a certain VLAN range(4086 to 4094). This is reserved for the system routing.

Is it possible to ask your ISP to change this on their end?

  @PhilCISource

I'm working on Spitfire simultaneously as that would be ideal, from the discussion with an engineer it maybe not possible to select a new vlan without paying for the line to be re provisioned completely.

They may have another solution with fixed ip addresses which would be a smaller cost as 3 or 4 IP's would need adding to our subscription.

just seems a bit limiting that the reserved vlan's on the Omada system cant be changed or allocated to another number
