Would load balancing for balanced based balanced routing on ports work if backup link is offline
Dear Team
In a Typical Tplink Router i have noticed that an Online Detection keeps a backup wan offline until a failover is detected. This setting depends on the link backup of primary and backup link settings enabled. I want to know how would load balancing for balanced routing on ports work if my second wan (backup link) stays offline. or is it that the link backup rule should not be set for balanced routing on ports to work??

@Clive_A Im not finding much satisfactory answers.. My backup link is offline how would load balancing for Bandwidth Based Balance Routing feature work ... if i disable the link backup rule i can see the secondary line going online which obvious the case, so then i can say load balancing will work for the above feature..

It does not work if you enable link backup. Which means it is only reserved for the backup This is how the system works. That's explained in the guide. I think you did not look closer.

@Clive_A Alright...there is one option of always online in the online detection feature, would that help in keeping the secondary line online for bandwidth balanced ports feature?
