Hi folks,

I live right next door to my son (30 yards across a driveway) and I want to set up some sort of bridge so that he can benefit from my pretty fast 5G WiFi.

At the moment I have an outdoor access point EAP255 attached to a POE switch mounted on my outside wall. At the moment that gives him a fairly decent speed but not enough for him to work from home. His house is stone built with pretty thick walls.

What I'd like to do is WiFi my signal to some kind of access/bridge on the side of his house which he can then feed via cable  indoors to attach to a switch or router which will allow him to broadcast the signal around his house.

I've been advised that one way to do this is to set up a point to point bridge using something like an EAP 215 bridge kit and I'm assuming that one end will attach to my outdoor poe switch, beam t's WiFi to the same device on his house then cable through his wall to the router or an indoor switch.

However, as I already have a decent outdoor access  point in the EAP225 I'm wondering if there's another way I can achieve the same end without having to buy a bridge kit like the 215 which has two pre configured units.

Does anyone know if there's an alternative so that I can use my existing access point WiFi connected to something on his house that will allow me to attach an Ethernet cable to get the signal indoors at his end?

Hi  @Skewett

Yes, you can purchase one CPE710, configure it as client mode, and attach an indoor access point or router into the CPE710.

Below is the topology:

POE switch--EAP225-outdoor)))(((CPE710_Client mode---indoor access point.

How to Configure the Client Mode on the Pharos device

Wish you a happy life and smooth network usage!
