Hi, I have been spotting some odd log entries on my controller, and wonder if this is usual, or if there is an issue I need to resolve.

In short, I keep getting logs saying things such like

  • Router_VLAN was disconnected from network "Guest" on Office-Routing(connected time:57h46m connected, traffic: 128715.91MB) and connected to network "Work" on Office-Routing.

and then a few seconds later:

  • Router_VLAN was disconnected from network "Work" on Office-Routing(connected time:57h50m connected, traffic: 128725.14MB) and connected to network "Guest" on Office-Routing.

Where

Router_VLAN - MAC Address / Port on my Router connected to the switch

Office-Routing - Is the TL-SG2218 Switch with VLAN Interfaces configured - Connected to the router port

Guest - Guest VLAN - VLAN 30

Work - Work VLAN - VLAN 100

Is it normal for a Trunk port that carries multiple VLAN Tagged traffic connected to a 3rd Party router to show as disconnecting/connecting between all of the VLAN interfaces? Otr do I have an issue/misconfiguration I need to solve? Given the connection time is system on time for both interfaces, I am thinking it is just an oddity with the logs and there is no 'disconnection' of the VLAN interfaces on that port at all?

Thanks.

Ahh, OK, it seems that it is normal as part of the topology detection as suggested in this thread - Link flapping on TL-SG3428 v2.0 with client device - Business Community

Feature Request - could these logs be suppressed in future? It seems they are not useful at all, in fact are confusing, so it would make sense if they were suppressed?
