Hi there,

i´ve an omada setup since July ´24.

Since i´ve changed from my fresh-tomato-setup to omada, there is a problem with mobile devices (Androids and one iphone of my daughter) with 2.4GHz & 5GHz SSIDs.

The devices connect flawlessly to wifi, i can visit websites, apps...until it seems, like the internet has gone.
I then have to turn wifi off and on and it works again for couple of hours.

What i´ve done:

Changed internal DNS-servers. I have a windows DC as DNS, pi-hole, and the omada-router itself - no difference.
Changed external DNS to googles DNS - same game.

So for me its not a DNS thing, but what kind of problem then?

it only affects android phones & one iphone.

Other devices (two windows laptops, a lot of windows servers, Logitech webradio, ...) are not affected!

BR, Markus.

  @mekz

No idea tbh... the only thing that comes to my mind as a first thing to test is to extend DHCP lease time... I think that it's set to 120min by default... Maybe after that time the devices (some of them) have some issue and requires to restore whole connection?

Try to extend that lease time to like 600 min to test if the problem will occur less frequently or reduce it to like 10 min to see if the problem will occur more frequently.

No Internet? Start with the ping to the gateway and the public DNS servers on these devices described as no Internet. Will they respond during the "no Internet" blackout? Screenshot?

If they respond, it is not a problem with the router. It can connect to the external networks. Try to ping google.com and see if there is a resolution.
