Firmware Version: 1.20.5

Hi Everyone,

I have an issue, I recently upgraded my switch from a TL-SG3428MP to a SG3428XPP-M2. I have an old network device that only runs at 10/Half Duplex, it will auto negotiate this but for some reason the link goes up and down and its fairly unreliable.

On the old switch I could force this port to 10/Half in the Omada GUI and it worked fine, on the new SG3428XPP-M2 this is not an option in the GUI the minimum it allows you to set is 100/Half Duplex.

So I have tried setting it in the CLI overrides using the speed 10 command but this wont apply, I get the error:

Command "speed 10"(line 4) failed to execute.

Is this a bug or is it just not possible to set on this device? anyone have any other ideas how I can resolve this other than add another switch that I can set this on?

Heard back from support:

"on this model does not support manual configuration to 10Mpbs, but can link to 10mbps in auto"

So thats that, posted this incase anyone stumbles across this issue in the future.

Thinking about this, if its able to auto negotiate 10/half then it has to either be that forcing the setting has either been depreciated on newer hardware or this is a bug/oversight?

However speed 10 is a supported command according to the latest CLI documentation
