Model: EAP110
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 5.0.4 Build 20220216 Rel. 57495

EAPs are not showing up on the new controller after migration

I have a few EAP110s I am trying to migrate from one cloud-hosted SDN controller (V5.3) to an AWS hosted SDN controller (V5.13). When I migrate them to the new controller, I am unable to see them on the new controller.

I tried to migrate from a PC-hosted SDN controller (V5.14) to the AWS-hosted controller and the devices still dont show. I have opened all required ports on the security group. What can I do? Please I need assistance.

Hi  @RemyTheGreater

For controller v5.13.11.41 and above, only the configuration file from the controller with the same first-three-part version number (Major.Minor.Patch) can be imported.

For detailed steps, you may refer to the following FAQ:

@Vincent-TP I have changed the version of the PC hosted to the exact same version as the AWS hosted controller. Still not about to see the EAPs. We even hosted the AWS controller to a domain and tried to connect them to the controller that way, still not working.

Thanks for your help

Hi  @RemyTheGreater

How many EAP units do you have in total?

If not many, you may forget them from the old controller and adopt them in the new controller. I believe this will be much faster than troubleshooting the migration issue.
