SG2008P LACP LAG for TrueNAS Core 13.0 on HP MicroServer Gen8
Hi all
I am struggling to get the LAG working in my environment.
I have ER605, OC200, 2x SG2008P and 2x EAP245.
Also I have HP MicroServer Gen8 with TrueNAS CORE running on it with number of Jails.
I have tried to set up LAG to connect both interfaces to the switch to see if it will work.
Using serve iLO I removed single bge0 interface and added lagg0 with both bge0 and bge1 added to it with type "Link Aggregation" and LAG settings set to LACP as per https://www.truenas.com/docs/core/13.0/coretutorials/network/interfaces/laggcreate/
Then before connecting second cable I combined 2 ports on the switch to Aggregating with a spare LAG ID and either set to Static or Active LACP.
Everything was ok with the single cable and even I got connection working.
Once second cable was connected something went completely wrong and I lost connection in a way that I am connected to AP but can't ping anything, can't acces to OC200 Controller and whole network went down.
Disconnected second cable and gradually all got back and Controller reported of adopting and configuring all devices back for some reason, assuming that Switch disabled all ports temporary even there was no PoE disruption and no lights indication on switch itself.
Checked with both Static and Active LACP same issues.
I am not quite sure if correct profile has been applied to the port and should i change Loop Detection?
As per https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/3898/ it needs to be changed in profiles.
I have number of VLAN's set up and so far loop prevention is enabled on default VLAN and All Profiles but not new created Switch Profile.
Would this mean that I will need to create new Profile with correct VLAN assigned and apply it to the LAG so it will work and not kill the switch?
Happy to post screenshots if it is necessary.
P.S. I am also looking to use other VLAN's in TrueNAS so I am assuming that profile that applied to the TrueNAS port should have Native Network set to desired VLAN and other VLAN's that I would like to add as VLAN interfaces needs to be added as Tagged Networks.
Kind Regards,
Areg
