slow RX speed - Firmware EAP650, Mesh, Optimization ?
Hello and good day!
I am using a:
ER707-M2 v1.0
SG3210X-M2 v1.0
several EAP650
EAP 610 outdoor
etc.
with a controller 200
My problem is that the download speed of the EAP650 has probably dropped significantly after the update to firmware 1.1.0 several month ago.
Via LAN I have just under 1,000 Mbps download speed and 270 Mbps upload speed.
With the EAP 650, I now only have a good 200 Mbps download speed and a full 270 Mbps upload speed.
I have also noticed that only one EAP650 is included in the WLAN optimisation and the other models display the information ‘The AP in the mesh network does not support WLAN optimisation’.
I would be very happy about your support and thank you!
Frank

Hi @Liftboy
Here are some steps to help troubleshoot the issue:
1. Please use https://www.speedtest.net or the speedtest APP/CLI(https://www.speedtest.net/apps) for testing speed accurately.
2. When testing with wireless, please connect your phone/laptop to the high speed network (5G) instead of 2.4G. In order to reach maximum throughput over wireless, put the phone/Laptop next to the EAP.
In the meantime, you may refer to the following guide to do some wireless optimization:
How to optimize wireless performance of EAP products
As the ‘The AP in the mesh network does not support WLAN optimisation’ said, mesh APs won't perform WLAN optimization.
The channel of mesh AP's will always be the same as the uplink EAP.

Thank you very much for your help!
... An identical channel for Mesh is clear. I wonder why the one AP (AP3) does not seem to be in the mesh and the optimisation is running there ... .
But apart from that, I have already tried several things and no matter with which end device under which AP - the download speed is always low. Whether on automatic or with various values and channels, different settings - I've tried a lot of things. Unfortunately without success. The problem started when I updated to firmware 1.1.0. So I wanted to downgrade the firmware as a test. Is there a link to a file here or will there even be a firmware upgrade in the near future? Some users on the net are complaining about low RX speed. That's another reason why I'm keeping an eye on the firmware.

Hi @Liftboy
If so, you may downgrade the firmware and see if the speed will be higher.
You can downgrade manually here:
You can download the previous firmware from tplink website: https://www.tp-link.com/
We wait for your update.

I changed a 650 to a 772 AP - no changes in RX WLan speed.
It feels like a small setting and I'm too stupid to see it.
