Firmware Version:

I have a EAP 610 outdoor. It is working great.

I need to add a non-wifi security IP camera at a location at the edge of the EAP's coverage.

I was thinking I could mesh in a second EAP 610 outdoor unit at this location and then plug the wired IP camera into the EAP. Not only would I extend the WiFi further, I would get a camera feed too.

Will this even work?. Can the Ethernet port on the meshed EAP be used for local wired connections like a bridge? Alternatively, can I plug a switch into the meshed EAP and network in multiple local devices?

I've been digging around for this answer but cannot find any information.

If the EAP cannot be used as a bridge, is there a tplink device better suited to do this?

>>>Yes and yes. You can do that.

There is EAP610,  maybe it's because you type a blank in between:

@dbgarlisch  as an aside, why are there no EAP 610 devices listed when starting a thread?

Ignore this question. Pilot error.

@Vincent-TP thanks. I was only typing EAP into the field expecting the 610 to show up. It does not. Looks like drop list limits the number of matches. The 610 is not there.

If I type EAP6 it *does* show up. Doh.
