we have a shed what we have connected with a mesh between the 610 and the 225.

all the management IPs for these devices are on pvid1, the cameras are on vlan10, wireless clients is on vlan20
wireless works from eap225 but we are unable to get the cameras running.
will swapping out the dumb switch with smart switch like DS108GE?

Yes. Dump switches will work in the default VLAN1, To let the cameras work in VLAN10, you need a VLAN-sensible switch, DS108GE can do that.
You can also consider SDN switch such as SG2008, so that you can manage all of them via Omada controller.

sg2008 got in today.
adopted it, prepped the port for the access point and the cameras with their respective switch profiles and just like that it worked without fuss.
could have saved a few bucks going for the cheaper models but i figured managing all these from a single pane of glass is worth the extra dollars.
