I'm using a TP-Link Deco X50-5G as a modem/router -> Switch TP-Link Gigabit -> Deco X50 -> EAP225-Outdoor (default POE).

 

I've tested both the Switch and the Mesh Deco X50, before the EAP225, with a Cat6 cable - both connections give me Gigabit speeds, using iperf or my own preference OpenSpeedTest's Docker Container for local (LAN) speed tests. I have a 5G connection: 200/50Mbps - also tested with SpeedTest, just because, with the same results.

 

If I try the 5GHz connection of the EAP225, with a Xiaomi Pro12+ - 2m/6.5ft away from the device:

 

 

It's not the 866.7Mbps it says on the WebUI, but it's not that bad.

 

 

The problem is with the 2.4GHz. No matter the changes I made in the settings it doesn't go over 19/60Mbps.

 

 

According to the WebUI data, the Lan connection is indeed Gigabit: 1000Mbps:

Like I said before, I've tried with an ethernet connection (Cat6 cable), before the EAP225 and I have Gigabit connection wih the Deco X50 and the Switch.

Even so, I've tried with a different Ethernet ports on the Mesh Deco X50 and directly with the Switch - the EAP225, at 2.4GHz still seems to be bottleneck.

 

Note: I'm not expecting a Gigabit speed using the 2.4GHz - but at least some resemblance of the supposed 144.4Mbps, it says in the WebUI, would be expected:

I've tried with different IEEE options, same result.

I've tried with different Frequencies, even when I have the "1" reserved for the EAP225 (and no neighbors), same result.

I've changed the SSID so that only the phone I'm using to test it, is the only device connected - there's a gain of 2-4Mbps, but over all: same result.

I've tried with different devices: Laptop, tablet; same result.

I've disabled the 5Ghz, as I have no need of it because the devices using the EAP225 only accept 2.4GHz - I only turned it on to test its speed.

  

I've tested with different values the Tx Power(EIRP): from 16-20dBm.

I've even tried with 40MHz, and Auto, and the same with the Frequencies; same result.

I have Load Balance off, Airtime Fairness off, and haven't change the options in "More Settings". I also haven't touch the QoS settings:

Some help, or input, would be appreciated.
