Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

Hi @All

I'm trying to set up an OpenVPN client on my Omada ER605 V1.0 with 1.3.1 firmware using the Omada controller but it is not working and I can't figure out why is not working. The logs do not show anything and in Insights / VPN Status / OpenVPN/PPTP/L2TP/ Client it said "No VPN sessions found."

This is my .ovpn file:

remote IP4 443
remote IP5 443

cert client.crt

My connection needs a user and a password and I set those on the "VPN User" tab.

VPN user tab is for VPN server. You have to add user/pwd in the first tab with other VPN parameters.

 Hi @Libik !

I learned that and changed my config to Certificate + Account, but even with that isn't working, and still nothing in logs.

I don't know if this is relevant by I'm trying Cybergosht as VPN Server in this connection.

  @Dr4g0n_Kn1ght

Maybe it does matter. I am connecting to the company OpenVPN server (UDP protocol) and it is working for me. Maybe someone other could help you. Logs in Omada for some kind of troubleshooting are useless.

  @Dr4g0n_Kn1ght  Some suggestions:

  1. Check that you have comp-lzo adaptive set as per https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/653224
  2. Check that you are not blocking UDP port 1194 (or whatever you have set it to) as per https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/668358
  3. It is not mandatory to set a username/password for client authentication - that part is optional and perhaps don't use while troubleshooting just to take another possible complexity out of the mix

 Thanks @Cold_in_Canada

In My schema, the Omadada Router is not the server is the client, but in all case is valid, I'll try the comp-lzo adaptive parameter for the file.
