Router disconnects after a couple of days
Good afternoon,
i know it's a Beta firmware mainly to use the mDNS fuctionality.
I found that from the moment i updated the firmware to this beta version my router gets disconnected from omada every 2 or 3 days. Only getting it back connected by power cycling the router.
Is this a known issue already or does tp-link need some kind of log files to look into?
Regards,
Danny

Hello @Dannyz. ,
Thank you for your valuable feedback on the ER605 1.2.3 Beta firmware.
Please allow me to confirm some details regarding the router disconnected issue you mentioned.
1. When the router was disconnected, would all of your network devices drop the network connection?
Or would only the router get disconnected from the controller?
2. How many client devices do you have in your network?
3. Is there any VPN connection established in your network with torrent network activities such as cam video stream, or large file downloading?

Hi Hank,
I also have this issue with an ER605 v1 on the 1.2.3 firmware. Every 1-3 days I randomly lose internet connectivity until I reboot the router, then I'm good for a few days. My AP and Switch are not affected. During this time, the Router disconnects from Omada and cant be reached. Physically, there are no indicator LEDs going off on the router other than the system LED that has always flashed.
I usually have anywhere from 35 - 50 clients connected at any given time, but this has only been an issue since flashing 1.2.3.
I don't have a VPN established regularly, and my primary functions with my network are to download many large files (HTTP/HTTPS, not Torrents) and to run a Kubernetes cluster. I do have two cameras on my network, and they + the Kubernetes cluster have constant connectivity with my NAS for file and database storage.

Hello @YeloMelo,
Thanks for your reporting this issue to our community.
May I know what is the firmware version of your controller?
Did you enable mDNS function?
Have you seen any abnormalities in the CPU?

Hi Hank,
To reply on your post earlier.
1. When the router disconnects from omada the internet connection stays intact.
2. I have around 40 clients in my network between them are 3 full hd PoE camera's and a NVR.
3. The moments the router disconnects from omada there is no active VPN.
at the moment
CPU Utilization: 5%
Memory utilization: 45%

Danny
