ER8411 VPN Client broken

So i have had the new ER8411 for a few days and most things seem to be working ok except a big one is the lack of vpn. Controller will allow you to create a new vpn and configure and even save but it never comes online and the vpn client section in insights is blank.
I assume this is one of many things broken in early firmware for this router but are there any ideas on a time scale for fixes as i have seen someone else report the issue in forum too ?
Hardware will have to be returned if the software is not going to be fixed.

You have problably hardware controller, then you hve to upgrade in stand alone and readopt router to controller after upgrade.

I have also the same problems with ER8411 and Firmware 1.1.0 Build 20230705 Rel.64091
Are there any updates from TP-Link Crew?
This is really a basic feature which worked with previous models like ER7206.

@MatthiasL22 It's been fixed for a while now. I've been using Open VPN without any issues since August.

@weewillywinky I have just bought an ER8411 and am having this exact issue. OpenVPN with UDP on firmware 1.1.0 is not working (tunnel comes up but no connectivity through it) and TCP is a fraction of my connection speed (<10%).
Can you explain how this was fixed please?

First, you were @ing the wrong person.
Try the beta: Early Access ER8411 V1_1.1.1 Build 20231030 Beta Firmware for Omada Controller V5.13 (Released on Oct 31th, 2023)
If you still face the problem, give details like others posted in the thread above.
MR.S seems not to have a problem with the beta. You can also @ him to discuss this here.

Just to update you, I use this beta that you send me 1.1.1 Build 20231120 Rel.51697
this work well, 1.1.1 Build 20231030 give mee a lott off problem with IPsec site to site and do trafic very unstabel and slow on IPsec..
BUT BUT BUT OpenVPN client on ER8411 connected to a OpenVPN server on ubuntu with UDP stil not work, ER8411 connect to server with no problem but no trafic on my last test.,, Server has to be configured with TCP to get trafic in OpenVPN vpn.. My last test was with 1.1.1 Build 20231120 Rel.51697..
so that is not fixed. now I have removed all my OpenVPN server with UDP so I cant test this anymore.

So I spent 20 minutes and set up one and tested it.

ER8411 V1 Beta V1.1.1 Build 20231030.
#1 UDP server on ER7206.
#2 ER8411 as client connected via OVPN UDP to ER7206. iperf result.
#3 Download files and access HTTP-based file server.
#4 Finished downloading.
If you need me to test the IPsec, let me know. I'll do it next week.

Yepp, but I think you misunderstand.
I have never said that it does not work between two tp-link omada routers. what I'm saying is that it doesn't work when using ER8411 as OpenVPN Client against an OpenVPN running on Ubuntu. in my case pivpn.
the problem only applies to ER8411, on ER605v1, ER605v2, ER707-M2 ER7206v1 and ER706W works with UDP but not ER8411
