Hi there.

As a n00b, I need help with connecting 4 face-recognition units (biometrics) to a server.
The units are on the 2nd floor of a building. The server is in the 14th.
There're two ER7206, one in each floor.
Both routers have the 192.168.2.1/23 ip/subnet.
The biometrics accept the OVPN protocol so I've set up the server like this:

I then upload the certificate to the biometric units (some throwing a TLS error but connecting after a while).
The tunneling works (you'll see my pc and one unit connected):

I can access the unit via 192.168.5.6 once connected via VPN.
BUT!
I don't see my PC nor the unit listed with a local IP (192.168.2.x). The server won't be able to add the biometric unit if a local ip isn't issued.

How to do that?
I don't want to tunnel the whole router from the 3rd to the 14th floor. Just the 4 biometrics.
Thanks!

Edit: the VPN ip pool option doesn't work. I had to use the 192.168.2.1/24 subnet for the VPN, hoping it won't clash with other clients.

Now the next issue is: static IPs for biometrics. I'll open another thread.

Maybe try changing the OpenVPN IP pool to 192.168.2.1/24?

  @Somnus

I get the message that it's not possible to overlap the IP range.

That's why I'm forced to use another one.

  @CygnusBl4ck

I don't have ER7206 but I have ER605 V2 with Omada controller V5.7.4, and I can use the VPN pool same as router's LAN without any issue.

Not sure if ER7206 cando that but you can try the controller anyway.
