Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.1

We try out the Tp-link Omada network equipment, for educational use in classroom. My students will learn to understand how a LAN works with a Windows Server 2022.

I have Omada controller, ER605 Router, SG2210MP v1.0 and Windows server 2022.

The Windows server run the DHCP server. The network address is 192.168.30.0/24. During the configuration I reconfigure the router's Ip-address from the default 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.30.1. and disable DHCP. Then I activate the DHCP scope on the server, so the Omada controller and the switch get an address from the scope. Connection to internet workes fine. When I log into the Omada Controller to adopt the router it says "Adopting" for a long time, after a while the router changes the IP-address to default 192.168.0.1, The switch adopt ok. And  the internet connection drops. Does anyone have a solution? I want to keep the Ip-adress 192.168.30.1 and adopt the ER605.

  @Magne-R

you run a dhcp server on windows, then it should get a 30.1 as its gateway ip.

while you set the er605 to the 30.1 as well. you see the point?

disabling the DHCP function on the router is right. but they got dup IP address?

adopting your devices, they need to be in the same subnet, no dup IP address.
