At this point, I'm not willing to wait until they sort their junk out. It's been two months, my business is losing money daily over this. It's time for TP-Link to get the boot. Plus 605 firmware doesn't work with 7206, I have 3 tickets into TP-Link and have had for months, they keep releasing windows binaries before the Linux ones for the controller, all in all, a very unorganized system, and I am sorry I bought into this junk. I will be contacting an attorney, because at this point, that lifetime guarantee is completely useless.

I am one of the users that is not experiencing the DHCP issues but wants to know what exactly is special about the affected setups.

  @crrodriguez

I've also never had DHCP problems, I have ER605v1 and v2 ER7206v1 and ER8411v1, none of these have DHCP problems, so I'm also wondering what I've done to get rid of these problems,

I use very little DHCP reservation, if there are devices that are supposed to have a fixed IP then they get a fixed IP on the device itself, but I have some reservations mostly to test if this stops working. so far there have been no problems

everything is running the latest version of firmware, ER605v1 and v2 are running on the latest available beta.

I have set the ER605v1 routers to restart automatically once a week,

  @shberge

m8be you dont use VLANs, or the constellation in your environment is just lucky. It could be switches with v1 or v2 or v4 in a mixed environment that just causes those problems.

I didnt manage to solve them, BUT after the oktober betas it seems to work.

  @kogan

I use a lot of vlan, I also have omada switches and access points of various kinds, but it is clearly a problem, there is no doubt about it, there have been fixes for this a few times, so I hope that they find a final solution to this soon.

but what triggers this problem would be interesting to know :-)

  @NTWRK You mentioned that your router passed the Shields Up test, which tests IPv4. If you're using IPv6, would you consider running a similar test for IPv6?  The forum won't let me post the link, so you can Google: Online IPv6 Port Scanner and Firewall Tester. (Welcome to IPscan, an open source IPv6 port scanner, or firewall tester, which checks multiple, user-selectable TCP, UDP and ICMPv6 services.)

The DHCP problems are bad, but so is leaving IPv6 access open, which has been the case for months. We had been promised the addition of IPv6 firewall features in December.

Please let us know. Thank you.

  @NTWRK what is the 1.2.2 beta link? I tried various URLs based on that date and the usual pattern but couldn't find the right one.

  @dsj  It is kind of cluegy to find. Here is the thread link.

This is the beta from the thread but know that it is NOT fixed. It still fails and my wife chewed me a me new one today when I got home.

  @trak55

ER605 v1 1.2.2 20230118 beta is the beta mentioned by  @NTWRK . This seem a different beta from last week given for testing to some folks (probably more like an alpha then beta). This is my guess I've no idea of what I am saying is true.

I've updated the Beta firmware for ER605 v1/v2 and ER7206, please check this original post for downloading.

  @Fae

I just tried to OC200 remotely update a TL-R605 v1.0  currently on 1.2.1 Build 20220512 Rel.76748 to ER605(UN)_v1_1.2.2_Build 20230118 (Beta)

I received firmware file invalid message and the router has been offline since :(

Oddly, the two APs connected to this router are still online.

Maybe just the management access to the ER605 has been lost?
