  @Adandu I've got the same setup as you.  At first, my router wouldn't upgrade...kept throwing an error about not being able to download the firmware.  I rebooted my router then the upgrade went off without a hitch.  Everything is running smooth at this point for me.  Sadly, the new firmware doesn't seem to include a lot of the future features mentioned in the Windows 5.8 controller release notes.  The router release notes make no mention of Wireguard, DNS proxy, or many of the other features.

  @DannyZ I replaced my TP-Link with a Netgear AC1450 and flashed it with dd-WRT from FlashRouter. Picked it because I am  small office home office and need stability and it's old tech. Happily paid $100 USD for them to remote in, set it up, and provide 3 months support  Have had one event when I neglected to log off the router for a PC reboot. Couldn't access it through wire or wifi. By the time I had the second email from  FlashRouter I had rebooted it. Lost 4 of 5 Unifi AP I had to hard reboot and re-adopt. Really hoping this was a one-off event.

Hello @ All

Important notice, that saved my life..

After reboot of ER605, we waited, til internet connection is available and then JUST switched OFF the OC200 controller.

Since then, internet, wifi and lan connection is stable, now for 1/2 hour now... m8be this will help someone.

@everyone

If you do not have a Controller on Windows qith 5.8.4 version, do not upgradeyour ER605 V2 to 2.1.0 until you get the 5.8.4 version of controller.

This looks like the key for me - I am on 5.7.4, but the frustrating thing is the firmware upgrade was offered through the controller software (ie: v5.7.4). I did not go looking for the firmware on the TP-Link website - and it does not look like it is offered there anyway.

I can't see a down-load for 5.8.4, so I am stuck with either rolling-back the firmware or dealing with an issue every day. I did find that going into the ER605 properties pop-up and hitting "force provision" does fix the problem - at least temporarily.  The issue seems to be the 2.1 firmware is not taking instructions/configuration from the controller software unless it is forced.... and when leases run out it is not renewing. Immediately after a force provision it handed out IP addresses.

I'll wait to see if this has embedded the configuration or whether I'll have to do it every time (or just roll-back the firmware)

EDITI can see 5.8.4 is available on the US site - but not yet on the Australian site
