EAP225-outdoor showing as disconnected after oc200 updates to 5.3.1
EAP225-outdoor showing as disconnected after oc200 updates to 5.3.1
A few weeks ago I tried migrating to the software controller on Linux using 5.3.1 from my oc200 and I ran into this issue where my eap225-outdoor was showing as disconnected. I tried re-adopting it and it would work for a minute and then show as disconnected again. I thought it might have something to do with migrating between different versions of the controller, 5.1.7 to 5.3.1, so I reverted back to my oc200 and restored from backup and everything was fine.
So today I tried to update my oc200 to 5.3.1 and I ran into the same issue. My eap225-outdoor is showing as disconnected but reverting my oc200 to true previous firmware fixes the issue. Any ideas? it appears the issue is related to 5.3.1 as 5.1.7 worked fine on the software controller and the oc200.

@mackworth Not sure but my EAP225-outdoor works well with software controller(windows) v5.3.1 and V5.4.6
I used V5.3.1 like 1-2 month ago, and currently I'm using version V5.4.6. I just update the controller every time there is an update.
From my experience "Disconnected" means a hardware connection issue. Are you still able to Ping the EAP225-outdoor IP address when you use the V5.3.1?
What is the IP address of your EAP and the controller? Are they in the same subnet?
To test the controller you can try to connect the EAP225-outdoor's PoE injector LAN port to the OC200 directly. It will prevent some influence on switch settings.

@Somnus @btx I have a very simple network setup here. No extra subnets or vlans or anything. Just an unmanaged TL-SG1218MP switch that connects everything. One wringle is that my eap225-outdoor connects to its included injector and then to the TL-SG1218MP because it was previously connected to an non poe switch. I can ping the eap225-outdoor and clients are still able to access the internet. I am even able to access the web interface login page. Reverting to 5.1.7 fixes the issue...

Another interesting thing is that when I leave it in this "Disconnected" state, the oc200 says last seen "Jul 26, 2022 09:22:47 am" so it is seeing it occasionally.

@btx Sorry, I haven't tried that yet because its high up and it will be a pain, but I will try that soon.

@btx I got excited for a minute because when I removed the POE injector it said "connected", but then later "HEARTBEAT MISSED" and now disconnected. But still pingable, I can still access the web UI login page, and clients are still getting traffic (including a streaming camera, so I know the connection is solid.).
I will probably try resetting it in a few days, and if that doens't work, I will revert back to 5.1.7 on my oc200 again.

@Fae Any ideas before I get the ladder out and try and reset it? It shows as connected if I reboot it, but then the heartbeat gets missed and then goes to disconnected. Clients can still connect and the connection is good (I can stream video from my camera with no issues). It works correctly on controller 5.1.7.
