Hard disk not detected in NVR1008H
Hi
I jave just purchased an NVR VIGI NVR1008H. I inserted a 1TB sata disk but the system does not detected it and it beeps every 10 seconds. The LED for disj is off. I tried a different 2TB disk with the same result. Any suggestion what to do.
PS. the device networking is fine, NTP is fine and camera is detected.

You can check to see if your disk itself is working?
In particular, check that there are no problems with the physical connections and that the wiring is correct.
I haven't seen any compatibility issues with this NVR before.

Same issue I have. I use fresh out of the box Seagate Skyhawk 1TB HDD. Seems that the HDD is not detected. I tried to reset several times but still not working. And the NVR is constantly beeping.

I was able to solve the issue. I found that my power adapter included in my package is only 9V, 1A. As I check at the back of the NVR the power should be 12V, 1.5A. So I
contact local TPLink service center to have my power adapter replace accordingly and they provided me a new 12V, 1.5A power adapter. And now my HDD starts to run and resolved the issue.

Thanks for quick response, my NVR already came with 12v 1.5amp power adapter and still having this problem. I will try higher amp adapter once i got one.

I tried a different HD from Western Digital and it worked. There is nothing wrong with the other disk as it works on a desktop.
